What are these favicon-like icons called in Chrome? Ask Question 0. I just noticed some icons on the right side of the url in Chrome (on a Mac) with favicons of technologies used by the current website. Clicking on the single icon shows a dropdown/tooltip with software used by the site, such as nginx, WordPress, php, and others. Mar 17, 2016 - I don't think there's a built in way of customizing the favicon, but you can use a chrome extension called Bookmark Favicon Changer which will.
If you want to click on it, the print option appears under the page menu. If you want to use the keyboard shortcut but need a reminder of what it is, the page menu tells you the shortcut for print, as well as for cut, copy, paste, find, and save. (And the wrench menu shows shortcuts for several other options.) It would be nice to be able to customize these actions, moving frequently used tasks from the menu to buttons on the toolbar, but there's already two ways of getting to them (menu or keyboard shortcut). Maybe Google will eventually add a customizable third option of putting in buttons, but until then it's not too hard to work with what it's got. Cavertim, 1:19 น. Just adding to the argument for the ability to customising the toolbar; rearranging existing buttons amongst the toolbar, e.g.
Addon buttons, would be very helpful. I have a password bank addon that is inconveniently on the far right, away from most login forms. Also, the same addon is located on the left in my other browsers so I am always searching for it in Chrome.
I guess I could just customise my other browsers to have the addon located on the far right like Chrome. Joe.wc4r 11/2/2010, 9:17 น.
I am a similar boat. It is purely customization of the toolbar that is preventing, and always will until it is remedied, me from transitioning to Chrome as my default browser. I appreciate Chrome's conscientious use of screen real estate, the speed at which pages load and the overall snappiness that everything happens with as well as its excellent stability, however, I want to move options (shortcuts) around on the toolbar. I want to put the back, forward, refresh and home buttons to the right of the search/URL bar so I don't need to move my mouse as far on my wide screen to use them when I choose not to use keyboard shortcuts or the buttons already on my mouse. I also want to add a few other shortcuts that I use frequently but don't want to go through menus or short cut keys for. Please add these simple customizations Google.
